3D ANIMATION IN A NUTSHELL

I've been away for an important travel trip which put a stick into my consistency wheel. But on the other hand having some time off made me think what matters the most. Do you ask your self what project matters the most for you? How do you even sacrifice all the rest of your pet/dream projects to pick just one? But that's a whole new topic for another blog post.
For now we will focus on what I figured matters the most for me as of today:
Animated Universe "Aeon's Paradise"
I tried doing a shortfilm but I realized that it is around 12 minutes long after showing the script to some people - and it's too extreme. I think I was stuck with that bigger script mostly because it was so unbearably long and couldn't see any end to it and was to scared to even start.
So I came up with a new little shortfilm that I figured can be done in some adequate amount of time and also a good practice on the project in general ( So this one I called "The Statement", but it's just a codename for now. In this short - Aeon (the main character) will be asked questions by an interviewer/interrorgator or some official representative. I already have some previews that I have assembled in the past couple of days:

All made in Blender. I did make Aeon's model previously in Zbrush and Substance Painter, but the scene assembled in Blender and I am planning to keep as much as possible within Blender to avoid jumping between different apps as it is time consuming.

The woman I just downloaded online from Blenderkit because she will not be visible throughout the entire sequence, just as a dark blurry silhouette.
I think working as a solo artist for now makes me really think and come up with time-saving ideas. I don't have endless time or funding, so I have to be creative instead.

The scene is pretty basic right now, but we're going to bring the drama with music, lighting, voice acting, and character animation.
Something I just figured out - I'm not really into Eevee's cartoonish vibe. Cycles still nails the realistic look way better, and I just feel more at home using it. Plus, if you max out all the settings in Eevee, it gets slow and takes forever to render, almost as long as Cycles, but without the same quality.
I'll share my Eevee results in another post.
Another big topic to tackle is Sound, Music, and Voice-Acting. I've never really dealt with these before, and they seem like a bit of a puzzle to crack.
